How To Enable Hibernation Option on Windows 8 Operating System


If you are using Windows 8 Operating System, you will notice that the hibernation button is not there.

And most of us prefer to hibernate the system instead of completely shutting it down. This is most especially if you have unfinished work on your system, that you will like to continue later.

Windows 8 operating System, by default does not enable the hibernation button. if you really need the hibernation option, you have to enable it by your self.

In this article, I will show you the easiest way to enable Hibernation option on your Windows 8 Operating System.


Follow these steps to enable Hibernation on Windows 8



1.   To enable Windows 8 Hibernation option, click battery icon in system tray and then select More power options.

2)    Now, select “Choose what the Power buttons do” option from left sidebar.

3)  . Now select the option Change settings that are currently unavailable.

4. This will provide you with the option to enable Hibernation. Check Show Hibernate option to enable and click Save Changes.

5).   Now you will be able to Hibernate your computer from Windows 8 Power options, which can be accessed from Charms Bar.
