How To Block Websites on Internet Explorer 11 and Below

There are many reason for blocking websites on Internet Explorer. Whether you are using Internet
Explorer 11, 10, 9, 8 or 7, it is still the same steps you will take in blocking a website.

If there are website domains that you wouldn't want anybody that accesses your system to visit, you could go ahead and block it. Those people could be your children or your friends.

Since Internet has a huge number of websites which many of them may be inappropriate for your family and friends. Those sites can be blocked from loading on your Internet Explorer browser.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you may as well block those sites using Hosts File. In this article, I'm going to show you how I blocked some sites on my Internet Explorer.

How To Block Websites on Internet Explorer 11 and Below

1   Click "Start," and then click "Internet Explorer."

2   Click "Tools" on the top menu of Internet Explorer, and then click "Internet Options" on the drop-down menu. The "Internet Options" window appears.

3   Click the "Content" tab.

4   Click the "Settings" button under the "Content Advisor."

5  Enter your administrator password if prompted to continue, and click "OK." The "Content Advisor" window launches.

6  Click the "Approved Sites" tab.

7  Enter the domain name you want to block in the "Allow this website" field.

8  Click the "Never" button.

9  Click "Apply" and then click "OK."
